heat wave teacher training program

A high-touch, in-house teacher training for future Heat Wave instructors

This is more than a certification. It’s a guided, in-house training designed to develop strong, confident instructors in the Heat Wave method — from presence and cueing to musicality, room leadership, and the standards that shape the Heat Wave experience.

A clear path to the schedule

We approach teacher development in three steps:

Step 1 — Instructor Lab

A workshop designed to introduce the Heat Wave method and give you a feel for teaching in our space.

You’ll explore:
• Class structure and sequencing
• Musicality and pacing
• Presence and cueing
• What it means to lead at Heat Wave

Instructor Lab is open to anyone interested in teaching or deepening their understanding of the method. This workshop is an optional step in this process.

Step 2 — Audition

The next step after Instructor Lab — or if you feel ready to step onto the mic.

Audition for a spot in our in-house Teacher Training program. Auditions are required for all candidates.

Selected candidates will be invited to join our in-house teacher training.

Auditions will be held on:

  • saturday, may 16 at 2:00 pm

  • wednesday, may 20 at 7:30 pm

Step 3 — heat wave method teacher training program

You nailed your audition! Not it's time to join our focused, in-house training designed to prepare you to step onto the schedule.

This is a 4–5 week program that blends hands-on coaching, practice teaching, and real-time feedback. You’ll refine your sequencing, strengthen your presence, and learn to lead a consistent, high-quality class within the Heat Wave method.

Participation requires a commitment to the full training schedule, as well as the availability to step onto the schedule following completion.
